I am a former Theatre Production Manager/Lighting Designer, Carpenter and Sound Engineer. I love keeping my hand in that career and I especially like helping organizations that need creative solutions for their shows.

Currently, I am a Teacher in Technology Education. I teach skills such as problem solving and design. I use projects that teach my students how to design and build water powered rockets, rubber band powered vehicles, carpentry and electronics.

I have also taught how to use the basic functions of the Adobe Design Suite including Photoshop and InDesign (used to create the school yearbook).

I like to give my students a lot of freedom to choose projects within the scope of the unit which will give them a student centered experience that I hope motivates them to excel.

I have been teaching in one capacity or another since my first years in theatre production work in college. Since then, I have led and taught crews of volunteers about the necessary steps to put on a production. I have volunteered with my daughter's Girl Scout troop to teach them simple science experiments.

I have owned Macintosh computers since 1993 and can teach tricks and shortcuts around the system software and how to get the most out of your computer.
