Bio

I have a Ph.D. in Physics. During my time obtaining my Ph.D. I gained plenty of experience both teaching and tutoring for courses. I have taught numerous courses in both Maths and Physics, and have held tutoring positions for those subjects as well. Because of this experience I have learned what it is that students tend to struggle with, which helps me to structure my tutoring.

I have a substantial amount of experience dealing with finite mathematics, since graph theory (which is a portion of discrete mathematics) is a major part of my research. I spend a significant portion of my time daily working with problems which involve finite mathematics.

I have spent my career performing research in a field called complex systems science, which has required me to hone skills in a variety of topics in machine learning. An example of a task I have performed is something called network inference, given time series the goal is to under the interaction structure. This naturally requires statistical learning and machine learning techniques to perform.

I have a PhD in Physics. During my time in graduate school, I needed to use MATLAB for my research. That experience continues today as I use MATLAB for my research as a Research Assistant Professor. I use MATLAB on a daily basis and that experience qualifies me as a tutor for MATLAB.
