My name is Heather P. I graduated from Potsdam State University in 2010 with a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education in 2004. My current certification is Childhood Education (B-2). I previously held a K-12 certification in Art Education, and a Childhood Education (1-6).
I have worked in public education for nearly 20 years as a teacher and teaching assistant. My experience has allowed me to acquire many skills and assets needed to become an effective educator. I have also taken additional classes in special education and literacy. Becoming certified in Literacy in 2025 is my goal.
I have some experience with tutoring, both in person and online. My lessons will be explicit and student centered. The bottom line is, I love when my students feel successful! I will tailor my lessons to each individual. Although I do work full time as a 2nd grade teacher, I am flexible.
My available times:
Sept-June:
Monday-Friday: 4:00-5:00 a.m and 4:00-8:00 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
July-August: 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
