I have been teaching at a college level for the past 22 years. Originally an electronic engineer by profession, I became involved in teaching Telecommunications at a local college. Since then, I became a full time faculty member at a career college where I have been teaching for 20 years in the field of Computer Networking and Information Technology and Mathematics. I come from a family of teachers. My mother was an elementary school teacher for her entire career and my older brother became a teacher while serving in the military. I have 2 children who have become teachers in public schools. I personally have a passion for teaching Information Technology courses. I utilize my engineering and professional background to supplement my presentations using a hands-on approach. Students learn best when they can have an interaction with the computer related equipment that they are trying to master. I like working with smaller groups or even one-on-one with students that need extra help. I am extremely patient with students who may be experiencing difficulty in learning. I prefer teaching in a regular classroom environment; however, I have also taught in the on-line arena. Either way, my students have always been very satisfied with their overall outcomes and experiences.
