During my years of teaching experiences, I have been involved in all phases of teaching – from developing creative lesson and thematic units to writing IEPs while incorporating in the classroom ABA methodology. I have been trained in the use of one on one using discrete trials and instructing students on the use of the Picture Exchange Communication System, and to take data on behavioral and instructional programs. In addition, I have home tutored children who have been diagnosed with a variety of mental illnesses. My experiences also included formulating and implementing behavior management plans, provided social and emotional support to families, while writing daily reports on each child's progress.
I find it very rewarding to make a difference in someone’s life, and therefore find teaching very fulfilling. I feel my most satisfying achievement is watching students flourish to their potential.
