Extensive Business Background and Experience

I have had an extensive career in business management, marketing, product development as well as sales and sales management. As a marketing manager I was responsible for maintaining and improving the market share of the office furniture division of an office products company. This included pricing decisions, promotional programs, training salespeople as well as working with salespeople in the field to assist in presenting product and programs to larger corporate clients on behalf of key dealers throughout the country.

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing I reported to the company President. In that position I was responsible for managing a sales force, assisting in field activities, hiring new sales representatives as well as publishing and implementing a marketing plan each year which served as the roadmap for implementation to increase market share as well as penetration into new market segments.

I I have started my own sales dealership, which has provided me with a more flexible schedule. I always promised myself that once my time became somewhat more flexible that I would position myself to give back. While I am still researching many ways that I might be graced with an opportunity to do just that, I do feel that my most significant contribution can be in the form of teaching based upon my extensive business background. I have in the past, had the opportunity to serve as a guest speaker in a college level business communications course at New York Institute of Technology. This has reinforced my desire to share what I have learned over a diverse business career.
