I have been teaching at the college level for 15+ years in NY. My background and areas of specialization include biopsychology, developmental psychology, and research methods/statistics. Following my Bachelor's degree at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina I went on to complete a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology at Syracuse University and finally my PhD in Cognition, Brain, and Behavior at Syracuse University. I am published, have won awards for my academic research on Attachment Theory and disrupted bonding, and participated in multiple funded teaching fellowships throughout my career. I currently work as a Professor of Psychology in the State University of New York system and love my job. Throughout my trajectory to becoming tenured professor I have won student-nominated teaching awards and developed a diverse skillset to teach in-person and remotely. I truly enjoy helping students succeed and develop unique viewpoints on psychology.
I have the ability to provide tutoring in Introductory Psychology, all areas of developmental psychology, statistics, research methodology, bio- and physiological psychology, drugs and human behavior, personality psychology, as well as GRE prep for the psychology subject matter test. My experience in teaching and tutoring is with a wide range of the adult population, mostly with early adulthood college students, but I also spend time mentoring and teaching adult learners.
