Hello, I'm Violet! I took the LSAT in 2024 and scored a 175, placing me in the top 99% of all scorers. I did this entirely through self-guided studying, and I hope to share some of my techniques, tactics, and favorite resources with you. There's a lot of hype out there about different approaches to mastering the LSAT, but my teaching philosophy is rooted in keeping it simple: learning the different types of question stems and how to approach each one; figuring out which logical fallacies you tend towards, and eliminating them; getting a handle on some of the more "subjective" aspects of the Reading Comprehension section; and, above all, developing techniques to maximize your time and efficiency. I am a beginner LSAT tutor, which is why I'm charging a rate well below average for this field of tutoring.
A little background on me: I graduated magna cum laude with a major in History, and as a college student I worked part-time helping high school students edit their college app essays. While this kind of mentorship was very different from LSAT prep, I enjoyed the process of getting to know students and trying to make a pretty stressful time of their lives a little less stressful.
