I started my education at a community college in Dryden NY. While studying Computer Science at Tompkins Cortland Community College I worked as a student tutor. Fellow students could drop in and be tutored in Math, Science, and Computer Science. I worked as a student tutor for my last two semesters and participated in training from the Tutor's Association for College Tutors (TACT) to become a better peer tutor.
After graduating with an A.S in Computer Science I worked for time for my current employer BAE Systems on avionics software. While working full time I completed an online curriculum at SUNY Empire State to get a B.S in Math, Technology and Science with a concentration in Computer Science.
Once I had my bachelor's degree I joined a company sponsored Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP). I attended leadership training and conferences for 3 years while also studying at Cornell to get a M.ENG degree in Systems Engineering. I completed my last semester recently with and graduated Cornell with a cumulative GPA of 4.08.
I am continuing to work at BAE Systems and grow as an engineer but I want to pursue tutoring on the side with the completion of school. While working as a peer tutor at my community college I developed a love for teaching others and helping them achieve academic success.
