I graduated from Princeton University this past spring with a degree in Religion in Theatre. In addition to my University coursework, I also worked part-time as a Sunday School teacher and tutor, running a fifteen-person sixth-grade classroom. There, I focused on suiting the lesson plans to the particular students I had over my four years, for example adjusting to include more active or more written programs to fit the students' learning needs. In addition to teaching in-person, I tutored elementary and middle school students one-on-one in language acquisition, both in person and over zoom. That experience trained me to reformat lesson plans to meet students' diverse learning needs and attention abilities, working together to chart plans to success. Working in youth theatre and as a camp counselor, I learned to use students' particular talents to help them overcome obstacles and succeed.
I look forward to improving students' writing for English courses and College Essays, leveraging my experience in the college application process and my University education in the humanities. I thrived at the standardized testing process that is a core piece of the modern college admissions process, and want to help students match their abilities to the test in order to put forward the strongest application. Middle and high school math were some of my favorite courses, but they are not always the easiest. I am passionate about simplifying the math processes to help students ace their exams and better enjoy their time in school.
Please let me know about any questions you may have, and I look forward to working together!
