Physics Graduate: SAT Maths and Science Tutor (800/800 Scorer)

I bumped my SAT Score from 1330 to 1530 (99th percentile) and scored a perfect 80/800 on SAT Maths. So I know firsthand what it takes to succeed and significantly because I have done it myself. I have tutored 60+ students in SAT Maths, Algebra I/II, Chemistry/Bio/Physics: Both APs and Regents, and work as a teacher at a private tutoring company.

A lot of teaching is about comprehension and I love to have a conversation with my students rather than have them listen to a lecture about all things STEM. This keeps them engaged and ensures they learn more effectively. Teaching should be fun and I try to be patient and humorous in my teaching style which students seem to enjoy.

Each student is different, so what works for one might not work for another. That's where a good teacher comes in – someone who understands how to cater to a variety of learning styles. I wasn't always a perfect scorer myself, so I understand the challenges and know the strategies and hard work needed to achieve an amazing score. Even if you don't feel exceptionally gifted, I know it's possible because I've done it myself. And if given the opportunity, I would love to help you do it too!

(PS, here's a bit more about me if you're curious: I graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Physics and a minor in Economics, while also completing the pre-med track – all while maintaining a 90+ overall average. I currently work as a teacher at a reputable tutoring company.)
