Hello. My name is Emily. As of May 2014, I will have a B.A. in English from the Honors College at the University at Albany. One of the requirements for my degree was to complete a research thesis project in literature over the course of two semesters. My project won an Undergraduate Research Award. I am also the recipient of the Vivian C. Hopkins Award which is award to students in the English Department who demonstrates outstanding scholastic ability and integrity. I have a lot of experience with writing and editing.
I have also had a lot of experience tutoring elementary aged students in a variety of subjects. In the Spring 2014 I participated in an internship at the NYS Museum after school program: Museum Club. Museum Club had students from second to sixth grade, and I had the opportunity to help most of them with different homework assignments, project, and, even, science fair projects. This experience is only the last in a long line of experience with tutoring children in middle school or younger.
