Hi, I’m Kristen! I taught high school math in New York for 16 years, and now I’ve traded in the classroom for farm fields—but I still love helping students find confidence in math.
I specialize in Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry, as well as middle school math. Over the years, I’ve worked with every kind of learner—from kids who just need a little homework support to students preparing for Regents exams, SAT math, or advanced coursework.
My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps, while also building problem-solving skills and confidence. Many of my students have gone from saying “I hate math” to “I can do this!”—and that’s my favorite part of tutoring.
Outside of tutoring, I’m a farmer (yes, really!), which means I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to the math we do. I know firsthand how important it is to make math practical and understandable.
