My name is Pujita S., and I am currently a sophomore at New York University. I have always had a passion for learning and academia, and I was the valedictorian of a class of 450 at my high school. I have been tutoring elementary and middle schoolers since I was in 7th grade. I started by tutoring strictly in class curricula, after which I founded and taught a free STEM summer program for children aged 5-10 intended to encourage hands-on learning and observation, as well as an English conversation and grammar class for new learners. I also have experience teaching non-academic subjects, including a music class and a philosophical moral values class.
I have always loved sharing knowledge. The idea that learning is a burden has become more prevalent, and I enjoy sharing personal strategies that not only make learning more fun, but easier as well. Tutoring and teaching are opportunities to share understanding, passion, and critical thinking with other students -- skills that will not only help in the class that they are struggling with, but with many more beyond.
