Hi, my name is Margaret Z.
I am a Cornell University alumna where I received a Bachelor's degree with a double major in History and Government. I also hold a Master's degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid in Spain. I am fluent in Spanish, and have experience teaching English as a foreign language.
I am happy to tutor students of all ages (K-college) and have tutored for 3 years. My main areas of expertise include English, Spanish, history, social studies, and essay writing. I can help students to understand the writing process, current and historical events, political science, Spanish language, and most topics that are included in the field of social studies and history (American history, European history, World history).
In college, my favorite professors were the ones who made classes easy to understand and enjoyable, so I try to use this approach when I tutor. I love when students can understand material and get excited about what they are learning. As a tutor, my goal is for students to first understand important concepts and then successfully apply them in future assignments. Every tutoring session is specially tailored toward the student's learning needs and goals, whether that be planning and writing an essay assignment or preparing for an upcoming exam.
I am happy to connect online or by phone to answer any questions or learn more about your learning goals before scheduling a session.
Best,
Margaret
