I have also taken courses called "Practicum in Tutoring Teaching Writing" and "Advanced Grammar" and plenty of other courses to help prepare me to tutor. I am a Writing Fellow at my college's Academic Support Center and tutor up to 8 students in three days. I love working with students to help them understand writing and grammar better, especially the "aha!" moments...

I am a Writing Fellow at my college's Academic Support Center and tutor up to 8 students in three days. I love working with students to help them understand writing and grammar better, especially the "aha!" moments when it finally clicks for them. Tutoring in the community I grew up in this summer would be a great way to give back to the community. I went to Webster Thomas and graduated with a 3.4, and currently have a 3.3 at the college I am attending now. I also work at the college's library to help students with inquiries they may have. When I tutor I try to use the student's strengths to help them to accomplish what they need. I also try to relate it to things they enjoy rather than throwing them into the writing that can be very difficult for some.
