I am a NYS certified Mathematics teacher for grades 5–12, with a strong background in adolescent education and a passion for helping students develop both understanding and confidence in math. I hold a Master’s in Education and have several years of experience teaching in classroom and small-group settings, including volunteer work, tutoring, and supervising youth programs, which has given me a solid foundation for working with students of diverse learning styles.
Over the past few years, I have supported learners in subjects ranging from elementary math, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry to Pre-Calculus. My approach focuses on building conceptual understanding, encouraging problem-solving skills, and creating a supportive, patient environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I adapt my methods to fit each student’s needs, whether through guided practice, interactive discussions, or real-world applications of math concepts.
I have experience working with students individually and in small groups, from middle school through high school, and have found that tailored instruction and consistent encouragement help students succeed academically while building self-confidence. I am dedicated to helping each student reach their goals, whether that means improving grades, preparing for exams, developing long-term math skills, or just becoming a more confident math student!
