PhD Educator Transforming Mathematical Confidence

I am an experienced tutor and educator with a PhD in Urban Education Policy from the University of Southern California. My teaching journey began as an 8th grade math teacher in Brooklyn, New York. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working closely with students ranging from 3rd to 11th grade.

I have loved tutoring students in math since I was in high school and my experiences led me to believe in the power of helping individuals develop their mathematical confidence by mastering foundational skills and meeting them at their unique ability level.

During my undergraduate years at Duke University and doctoral journey at USC, I continued my commitment to mentoring and tutoring by assisting high school students. I took joy in guiding them through the preparation process for their ACT and SAT exams, and helping them achieve success in their coursework. Witnessing these students not only grasp mathematical concepts but also develop an appreciation for the subject and grow in confidence was truly rewarding.
