I am a college professor and experienced social studies educator with over ten years of teaching experience across middle school, high school, and university settings. I currently teach Critical Inquiry and Humanities courses at a four-year university, and I hold two Master’s degrees—in Education and Creative Media—as well as ongoing doctoral studies in Curriculum and Instruction. My academic background and classroom experience allow me to support students at a wide range of levels, from foundational skills to advanced academic writing and AP-level content.
Throughout my career, I have helped students build strong reading comprehension, historical reasoning, and essay-based writing skills, with a particular focus on thesis development, evidence-based argumentation, and revision strategies. I have taught hundreds of students individually and in small groups, including AP US History, AP World History, and college-level humanities courses. I take a supportive, student-centered approach grounded in clear communication, step-by-step skill building, and confidence-boosting practice. My goal is always to help students not only improve their grades, but to genuinely understand what they are learning and why it matters.
I work well with motivated learners preparing for AP exams, students who need help with essay writing or document analysis, and those who want to develop stronger academic study skills. I also help students refine their research writing, college-level reading strategies, and critical thinking abilities. I currently tutor exclusively online, and I enjoy getting to know each student personally so that we can tailor our sessions to their needs, interests, and goals. I look forward to working with you.
