I've taken many workshops regarding the new Common Core standards and I'm finding ways to teach these difficult concepts to my students.
I work with small groups of children and I am able to create exciting instruction where children learn. I scaffold, meaning I allow for success at each level and I teach one step at a time. I teach children who are behind grade levels and create tools to bring them at grade level. I'm passionate about what I do and I'm not dry or boring. The kids see me get excited when they learn and it keeps them motivated. I also work with children with special needs and my calm demeanor allows them to take risks without fear of failure.
