Fitzroy Graham II is a pianist, composer, and music educator whose works integrate performance, pedagogy and scholarly musical development. I have had extensive teaching experience. From 2019 to 2024, Graham was employed by Lessons in Your Home as a piano instructor and taught students of all ages. This experience deepened his pedagogical approach and reinforced his commitment to sharing the transformative power of music. In 2024 he was accepted and pursued graduate studies in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Nazareth University. Graham successfully completed his master’s degree in 2026.

His development has been shaped by masterclasses and the mentorship of distinguished instructors, including Talli Morgulis associate professor of piano at U of H, Moores School of Music, Texas; Dr. Jacob Ertl Associate Professor of piano at Nazareth University’s School of Music, Rochester N.Y.; Sergey Kuznetsov, professor of piano at Lone Star College-Montgomery, Texas. Today, Fitzroy Graham II continues to evolve as a performer and educator, bringing artistry, discipline, and inspiration to every facet of his musical career. His website archives his early and current works and includes one of his compositions “Midnight Moonlight.” Today, his music demonstrates both the craft to teach in classrooms and the versatility to command concert stages internationally renowned.

Fitzroy's teaching philosophy is that playing piano should be as fun as playing with your friends. Technique is a huge focus in my lessons as it becomes a fundamental discipline for healthy, skilled and emotional playing. The teaching approach for technique is engaging, fun, challenging and interactive. This prepares students to learn their favorite songs and play it joyfully, consistently, and virtuously. The approach includes learning to read music efficiently, learning to play by ear in any key and improvise on the spot. Finally, the student will be able to play with musicality and virtuosity convincingly.
