I am a PhD-trained nutrition scientist with a BS, MS, and PhD in Nutritional Sciences, offering tutoring in biology, nutrition, physiology, research methods, and applied statistics. My training spans clinical nutrition, human biology, and quantitative analysis, allowing me to help students succeed in both coursework and research-based learning.
My undergraduate education was clinically oriented, originally preparing me for becoming a registered dietitian, with strong foundations in biology, biochemistry, and human physiology. During graduate school, my research focused on biological and physiological changes related to nutrition during pregnancy and lactation, bridging core biology concepts with applied health sciences.
I also completed a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics and a Graduate Teaching Certificate, and I served as an instructor for two undergraduate nutrition courses. In this role, I designed lectures and assignments, and worked closely with students to strengthen understanding of biological mechanisms, data interpretation, and scientific reasoning.
Subjects I Tutor:
- Biology (introductory & human biology)
- Nutrition (introductory to advanced)
- Clinical & Human Nutrition
- Physiology (pregnancy & lactation)
- Research Methods
- Statistics (applied statistics, R, data analysis, interpretation)
- Thesis & dissertation support
- Scientific & academic writing
My approach is clear, supportive, and goal-oriented. I focus on:
- Explaining biology and physiology concepts step-by-step
- Connecting mechanisms to clinical and real-world examples
- Making statistics and data analysis less intimidating
- Helping students prepare for exams, assignments, and research milestones
I work with undergraduate and graduate students, as well as pre-health and health science learners, and tailor each session to your course, instructor expectations, and learning style.
