Welcome to my page. My name is Elaina. I am a New York City born and bred singer, songwriter, bandleader, producer, lyricist and arranger. My work as an artist has included collaborations with a range of talent from groundbreaking indie artists to Pop & Soul producers & engineers to Grammy Award winning Jazz/Blues musicians.
My formal training includes study in the prestigious JazzMobile program and a Summa Cum Laude degree from the City University of New York in Jazz Vocal where I studied Pop Composition, Jazz Arranging, Blues Songwriting, Studio Recording, Harmony (Theory) and Music Production. I am also a member of American Society of Composers and Arrangers and Nashville Songwriters Association International.
I have coached students in voice, film scoring, lyric writing, and songwriting, song production and arranging for over 10 years. My work as a coach encompasses a carefully curated curriculum made for each student as a unique being with unique talents.
Anchored in the foundational tenets of each subject I coach, I encourage students to think outside of the box and to trust the process and more importantly, trust themselves. When students step outside of their comfort zones and beyond their (perceived) limits, miracles happen, floodgates open - all it takes is commitment and courage.
