Hey neighborhood. My name is Oran Diermeier-Lazar and I am a senior finishing up my studies at NYU Tisch School of the arts. I am director, writer and actor. I have created countless films and commercials, acted in equally as many and won my junior year's golden apple award for my advanced screenwriting class. The script was titled "The Third Year". It was about a Mexican immigrant family sending their kids to college for the first time, whilst evading debt-hunters.

Anywho I specialize in writing and tutoring high school kids on their college application essays, specifically the common app. I can really help kids write an interesting essay based in truth, heart and vulnerability. At the end of the day the best essays involve being real with oneself. I am able to foster a relationship with my student so that they are able to get comfortable with their own unique perspective on the world. With so many distractions and pressures, one inevitably loses touch with oneself. I give kids confidence to dare to be great again and overcome the fear of failure.

Besides tutoring, I am a freelance videographer. I shoot at the Church of Incarnation, MEOR, and NYU among other events.

I also act in Shakespeare plays, practice Jiu Jitsu, box, grip on professional film sets, produce a Star Wars project, and run an NFT drop titled "Octivate".

Yes, I have a packed life, but teaching kids and tutoring is a top priority. I just love helping people in real time and mentoring the youth along the way.
