Hello! My name is Brandon C, and I graduated from two of the most top-rated music schools in the world: The Eastman School of Music, and Manhattan School of Music. During my time at these institutions, I earned several accolades — in 2019, I placed 1st in the International Trumpet Guild's Jazz Improvisation competition, and in 2021, I placed 1st in the World Trumpet Society's 2021 Jazz Competition. Additionally, in 2021, I was a finalist in the Carmine Caruso trumpet competition, one of the world's most prestigious competitions.

My teaching career extends before even my competition and music school career — I started as a high schooler, tutoring other trumpeters and improvisers at my school. I continued to maintain a studio of private students then, and throughout my undergraduate degree, with the knowledge that teaching was just as much a passion of mine as performance. I enjoy going the extra mile with students, and will often (should time allow, and if the student is willing) spend extra time delving into a subject, and explore areas needing greater attention.

My greatest strength as a teacher comprises the individual, focused attention unique to the musical needs of each student. That said, it is the responsibility of the student to iterate goals and desires for their musical journey, and it is my great pleasure and passion to provide them the tools they need to succeed.

I have extensive experience in music theory, music history, ear training, general music, and of course, playing an instrument. We will pick and choose from any of these to curate a well-rounded musical education.
