I'm Alex and I am a medical student and graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (2020). As a student with a passion for both the sciences and humanities, I have expertise in multiple areas of study. I want to help the students I tutor both feel more prepared for their classes and enjoy what they're learning.

I tutored Algebra 1 while I was in high school and college. As a tutor, I created problem sets for my students to refine their skills.

As a pre-medical student at the University of Pennsylvania, I took numerous science courses and earned a minor in chemistry. The rigorous education I received prepared me well to perform well on standardized tests and teach others how to excel in their upper-level science courses.

I am fluent in Spanish, as I began learning Spanish while I was in kindergarten. I was a Spanish tutor in both high school and college. In addition, my clinical experiences as a pre-medical student have given me the opportunity to use conversational and medical Spanish on a consistent basis.

As someone who majored in the humanities at Penn, I have extensive experience with analyzing texts and writing essays. In addition, I wrote and edited articles for my school's newspaper, so I would be happy to use my experience to help students edit their papers.

I want to make sure that my students enjoy the process of developing new skills to master the material they need to learn, whether it is in STEM or the humanities. I seek respond to my students in a timely fashion and I try to be available on short notice. I believe that, with tutoring, anyone can excel in their classes.
