Hello, my name is Jaclyn! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College with a BA in Business Administration and Dance. During my four years at Muhlenberg, I was a tutor for the academic resource center in subjects such as writing, business, and dance. Since then, I have been tutoring for an additional four years in writing and college applications for both high school and college students. I have been also dance teacher for the past 10+ years for both private and group classes. I have experience teaching all ages, but find I work best one-on-one with students ages 13 and up.

I truly love writing and helping students fulfill their potential when it comes to their written work. Whether it is in the form of college application essays or general writing assignments, I am very specific with my direction and feedback to help my students effectively and efficiently communicate their ideas. Writing can be scary sometimes, but I am extremely patient as I know writing and developing your skills is an ongoing process. These sessions are ultimately for you to reach your goals and help you succeed, and I want you to walk away from our sessions feeling confident and proud of yourself.

Currently, I am pursuing a professional performance career in musical theatre as well as continuing to teach dance and working as an administrative assistant. I wear many hats, but tutoring and watching students succeed is very fulfilling. I am very open to feedback and suggestions from students or parents as I am always open to growth and improvement as a tutor. I focus on the development and writing of the student's personal statement and supplemental essays in order to best reflect their personal journey, achievements, and creativity. I know the college application process can be stressful, so my goal is to ease this anxiety and help them along in the process by being specific, collaborative, and purposeful in my guidance. Some schools my past student have been accepted into are NYU, USC, Duke, UPenn, UVA, UC, UNC, Villanova, and FSU.

Outstanding and Patient College Essay Tutor

Jaclyn helped me write my UC personal insight question. I started writing my PIQs pretty late and was doubting still applying. Although I was requested Jaclyn as a tutor thanks to her help I finished my PIQs. She was able to make time in her day to go over my PIQs with me even if the deadline was just around the corner. She is a very creative writer who will get to know you thoroughly to understand what you are trying to say in your essays. I appreciate Jaclyn's tutoring and I highly recommend working with her!
