My name is Josephine M., a continuing student at Kenyatta University pursuing bachelor's degree in Health Service Management. Since I love kids so much, I mostly carry out tuition to help out especially during this Covid-19 pandemic. I believe learning is a progressive. As a result, I'm certain that working smart through the use of technology is crucial to educating the upcoming generation, as this is going to be the new learning trend for most if not all learner. Being a student, I know the impact that a trainer instills in learners and have been so grateful to my teachers who have always been there to help. It's because of this that motivated me further and I realized I can also help the little ones. Have been using several approaches including the ones have learnt through my own lecturers. I do almost everything I can to make learning enjoyable and pleasant like in most cases I use lesson plan in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way and then explicitly teach the material, then afterwards I always ensure time for students to practice the material on their own and with close supervision. And of course this method can be adjusted based on the subject and student individual needs.
I have a 2 year experience in grade 1 and 3, we all know how at this age getting attention is a little challenging and that's why I usually work directly with any student who needed additional assistance and having lots of mind engaging games to ensure nobody falls a sleep or gets bored. I still get to tutor where necessary. Part of my tutoring mostly entail displays and exciting exhibitions to spice up learning and understanding.
Am always overwhelmed when the students understands concepts and are able to solve problems on their own which is the ultimate goal required to be obtained.
