Hi! I’m Julian — a Physics and Math tutor with over three years of professional tutoring experience, working with students through Paper Co., Dutchess Community College, and Wyzant. I’ve supported learners from elementary school through the graduate level in subjects including: Calculus I, II, III, Multivariable & Vector Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Algebra I & Pre‑Algebra, Pre‑Calculus & Trigonometry
University Physics I & II (algebra‑based and calculus‑based), Introductory Mechanics, E&M, Waves, and Modern Physics, Honors/General Chemistry.

I approach tutoring as a collaborative process. Every student thinks differently, and part of my job is to understand how you learn so we can build intuition, confidence, and problem‑solving skills that last beyond a single assignment. My structure is simple and effective:

1. Identify the exact point where understanding breaks down

2. Walk through a clear, conceptual example

3. Solve a problem together

4. Have you try one independently

5. Revisit or re‑explain from a new angle if needed

This method helps students develop real mastery — not just memorize steps.

I recently completed my B.S. in Physics at the City College of New York, where I focused on advanced laboratory work, computational modeling, astrophysics, and data analysis. My coursework included upper‑level mechanics, electrodynamics, quantum physics, thermodynamics, and advanced experimental methods. I also hold a BA in Theatre from Loyola Marymount University, which gives me a unique advantage in communication, clarity, and keeping lessons engaging.

If you’re looking for a tutor who is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping you truly understand the material, I’d be happy to work with you.

My student experienced the tutor to be competent and thorough during her first session for Precalculus dual credit course. He was very responsive to the request ro break down the topic.

Helpful and patient

Working with my daughter in honors precalc and she said Julian was able to explain in a way she understood and tried different ways until she got it. She has ADHD so it takes some patience! She’s looking forward to her next lesson and feeling more confident.

My son very much enjoyed working with Julian. He said that he understood his Algebra equation much better by having the session and that Julian was really nice. We were very happy with the session. Thank you!

He taught Pre Cal and that’s the reason I found him, but he is very knowledgeable with other math topics as well. He is a great teacher! He is very communicative!
