If you're looking for "the one"...
Olena's it. Exceptional teacher with world class math skills. My teenage boys really enjoy working with her - talking through AMC 12 problems, geometry, pre-calculus and calc. Her easy facility with challenging math - along with her warm disposition - takes the discomfort out of learning something new and there's a productive buzz to their sessions together. Whether my boys decide to ask for her help with math competition problems, re-explain school curriculum topics, or discuss a subject more in depth, every minute is productive. Olena has taught loads of AoPS classes and had a really good understanding of how to conceptually build math understanding. She's also highly responsive. So, for instance, my son decided to take a Physics class that requires Calc as a prerequisite and - although he passed the entrance exam - he hasn't actually taken Calc. Olena is filling in the gaps to excellent effect. Bottom line: whatever your math tutoring need, I can't recommend Olena highly enough.

Fantastic tutor with a gift for teaching
Olena has been such a great tutor for my daughter. She’s incredibly patient and really knows her stuff—she can teach even the most advanced topics with ease. My daughter was struggling with some number theory concepts, and Olena explained them in a way that finally made sense. She also gave practice questions between sessions, which really helped reinforce what she covered in class. We’ve had an amazing experience with her, and I can’t recommend her enough. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands math and knows how to teach it, Olena is the one!

Olena is absolutely THE most qualified math tutor you can ever find anywhere. In my opinion she is way over qualified to tutor my children given her education background! She is very patient with my children and always makes the learning experience fun for my younger daughter. Olena can tutor math at any level and we feel really lucky to work with her!

Very knowledgable and super qualified
Olena has a rare qualification of, being International Math Olympiad Gold Medalist. My kid has been doing math contests for a couple years and I am glad we found Olena from wyzant. Besides herself being a IMO Gold Medalist, Olena also taught math in university and online at AoPS so she is very familiar with all kinds of math competitions. It is hard to find local math tutors with such qualifications and online remote learning does not have good result. I am very happy with Olena's one on one tuturing for my kid. High recommended.
