There was time that I struggled with math courses, but I had an epiphany while taking calculus in college and I discovered how to think mathematically. This changed my life. In fact, I went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Mathematics and worked with Stephen Wolfram, one of the great mathematicians of our time. I can help any student learn how to think mathematically and to enjoy the process of solving math problems. I know mathematics very well and I know what it takes to learn and enjoy it.

I typically use socratic dialog in my tutoring sessions in an effort to get students to think and talk about the problems out loud. My goal is to help students discover the answers themselves so that they feel the joy of discovery in Mathematics. All too often teachers and tutors simply explain everything without first discovering what lies inside of the students brain and where the missing connections might be. Quite often the students actually know the answers they just haven't put it all together yet. Don't worry, I'll give you great hints when you need them!
