I'm Asia! I am originally from Trabuco Canyon, California, and moved to New York City for college. I started my formal dance training in Orange County, California under the guidance of Marlene Hall whom I assisted at the 24th Annual Conference of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) in Basel, Switzerland. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Ailey/ Fordham BFA program with a major in Dance and a minor in Mathematics. I have performed internationally at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia and the Rudolfinum Concert Hall in the Czech Republic, both as a collaboration with live musicians. I have also performed and taught dance outreach in Nicaragua and New York City with JUNTOS Collective. I have danced professionally with BHdos, the second company of Ballet Hispánico, and Alison Cook-Beatty Dance, and I am currently a company member with Ariel Rivka Dance.
I have taught ballet and Horton master classes in California, and I am currently a ballet teacher for Dance Project of Washington Heights and a Dance Expression and Performance Teacher for The Dalton School's After School Program. I love dance and believe it is an amazing art form that teaches kids how to better express themselves. I have experience working with a variety of age groups, and I would love to teach or supplement you or your child's knowledge about dance.
I started teaching ballet at 16 years old at my local studio, and I have been teaching on and off since. I have experience working with a variety of age groups and levels, and my goal for all of my students is progress! I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Fordham University, where I trained with prominent dance professionals at The Ailey School. I have also worked multiple times with JUNTOS Collective, a non-profit focused on dance outreach, where I also had the opportunity to teach workshops in Spanish.
I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
