I am currently working with Elena on songwriting and singing. I was really nervous about going into my first lesson, but right away Elena calmed my nerves with her personable attitude, professionalism, and vast knowledge. Elena really works to personalize the lessons to highlight the students strengths and also their desires. I told Elena about the musicians I liked and what lyrics from them I admired, and she was able to put into words the feelings they gave me and how to emulate them. Songwriting is really hard to teach because there is not a formula necessarily, but Elena created steps that I could follow which has allowed me to maintain my creativity without feeling super overwhelmed. Elena creates a really safe environment where you're able to explore and create without feeling pressured. She has allowed me to meet a whole new songwriter side to myself that I do not know when I would have found without her.

Knowledgeable & easy to learn from
Elena taught me how to use my diaphragm more when I sing & how to breathe in when I start to lose air. She was very patient & was able to tweak the lesson a little depending on how I was responding to it. She was very easy to work with & I learned a lot.

Patient and Flexible
My kids have been doing lessons with Elena for a few months now. They are 10 and 14 years old. So naturally my life is hectic and scheduling can sometimes be a hassle. Besides Elena being super sweet, she is very understanding and flexible when scheduling for the kids. The girls really enjoy their sessions with her and she gives them good feedback and "homework" to do. Thanks for dealing with my crazy schedule Elena!!
