I am a New York-based Venezuelan educator with a Master's in cultural theories, a Bachelor in communications that profoundly believes in interdisciplinary humanistic education. I've tutored students and taught lessons at a professional level on graduate institutions, language centers, and individually.
I worked for Berlitz Language School in Colombia teaching Spanish, and I've worked in the interpretation front of the visitor service department of the Metropolitan Museum in New York as a language interpreter. I have 9+ plus experience in communication and development department for arts and community organizations such as Hispanic Federation and Museo del Barrio in New York City.
My master's in cultural studies allowed me to build a curriculum at the intersection of art history and theories (formal, ritual, postmodernism, amongst others), cultural theories (what is culture?). I've assisted Doctoral research specialized on Medieval literature and Queer theory. My object of study is Latin American modernism. Also I offer guided tours focused on history and heritage, combined wit my YouTube channel "hispanyc" dedicated to Latin American art and culture with 4k subscribers.
If you would like to learn about culture or art history and theory, or just stick to Spanish, I will tailor the content to your interests and needs. I am here to help you acquire both options: an exploratory experience in a field or establish a plan to achieve a goal. The discipline and level of involvement you wish are up to you. I'm here to help!
