I am an English and Communications professor with almost 15 years experience teaching college and high school. I support students through the entire college application process, from selecting classes freshman year of HS, to enrolling in meaningful summer programs, navigating extracurriculars, and developing a personal project that makes the student stand out amongst a pool of competitive peers. While curating a powerful and creative essay is not the sole component of the college application, it is certainly a major factor in one's chance for success and can really be the "make or break" factor. With my background in English literature and composition, I am able to guide students as they curate meaningful and creative essays, including multiple rounds of revisions, feedback, and final edits. My clients have been accepted into many top tier universities including Columbia, NYU, Cornell, Duke, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins University, Yale, Wake Forest, and UMich.

Standardized Test Tutoring: I support students in tackling the challenges of the SAT & ACT, bolstering their chances of being accepted into competitive colleges. In tutoring, I focus on understanding and identifying distractor answers, test-taking strategies, and learning essential content to raise scores significantly. My students consistently reach their goals and, in turn, elevate their chances of acceptance! What makes my approach unique from other tutors is my focus on making thinking visible, a process required for success on all standardized tests. I am also known for making sessions fun and engaging and inspiring students with my passion for writing and literature and my keen awareness of standardized test-making tactics.

Educational Background: I hold a Masters Degree in the Teaching of English from Columbia University and am currently finishing a graduate program in English Literature at NYU.

College Counseling

College Counseling

I have 5 years experience with college advising. I began as an SAT Tutor and a tutor for college essays, and then quickly started helping students with the entire application process. I worked as an advisor at a private company in NJ for two years, prior to branching out on my own. I have experience helping students get accepted into multiple top-tier colleges, including Cornell University and Columbia University, as well as Boston College, Villanova, and Providence. My experience as a college professor over the past 10 years, also lends me insight in regards to what college students need as well as the process itself.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I've taught Communication classes at Seton Hall University for over 7 years, including Dynamics of Communication, Public Speaking, and Persuasive Speaking. I work with all kinds of learners and orators, most notably those preparing for competitions, class presentations, and interviews. My approach combines technique, practice, and mindset training to ensure every student becomes a stronger, more confident speaker.
