Hello! My name is Lily, and I recently graduated from Harvard, where studied history, government, and sociology. I love teaching, and I bring this enthusiasm to all tutoring sessions!

Over the past 6 years, I have gained experience as a tutor for elementary through graduate school students in English, essay writing, history, reading, and debate. I also taught a weekly history and government class for fifth graders in Boston for two years.

I'm skilled at editing essays and papers. I excelled in high school humanities classes (AP Literature, AP Language, AP US History, etc.) and in notoriously challenging literature and social science classes at Harvard. I have editing and journalistic experience as a copy editor for local newspapers. I was also awarded several regional and national medals from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for critical essays, journalism, and creative writing. And, I have served as a reader and editor for two Wyzant students' books.

Very patient and very capable

Lily is an excellent tutor. She helps my two children on improving their writing. She provides concrete feedbacks, and asks though-provoking questions. As a result, the kids not only improved the pieces they were working on, but also acquired skills for their future writing. Lily is also very encouraging. My kids love to work with her.
