I grew up in Mainland China and started to tutor international students Mandarin Chinese since 1997 in Beijing. In 1999, I emigrated to America and went to the New York Institute of Technology, where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2002.

She is very patient with my 2 kids (5 and 7) and quick to praise them when they've done well. Moying has great communication skills! Off the bat we were able to get time on the calendar. I enjoyed my first lesson with her. We jumped into the dialogue, I learned vocabulary, and new words. She even helped me come up with options for my new Chinese name. Finally, I like that she speaks in a mix of Chinese and English when teaching which forces my brain to understand her while I'm learning the language.
