I'm Meghana! I've been a tutor for over 8 years- I am a graduate of UC Berkeley, with a BA in economics and data science, and worked in management consulting and in tech companies.

My tutoring philosophy is to emphasize a growth mindset: I want to teach students that making mistakes is not just okay, but essential to learning and that it's the process of learning, not the immediate result that matters. I hope to make classes a safe environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks, even if they make mistakes.

I have experience tutoring a wide range of students, from early elementary to college students. I was a lead teaching assistant at UC Berkeley- focusing mainly on economics & statistics classes.I also have classroom teaching experience, having taught 2 summer classes of pre-algebra to incoming 7th graders full time as a summer teaching fellow at a nonprofit.

As a private tutor, I teach all core subjects, but have particular experience teaching math and English. I also work on college admissions with students- I have worked with several students to demystify the college applications process- understanding student strengths, finding colleges that fit them, and working step by step through the essay process.
