I am a Master's candidate in an interdisciplinary liberal arts program at Dartmouth College, concentrating in Creative Writing, anticipated completion, summer 2023, GPA 4.0, including an exchange program at Oxford in English Literature. Prior to undertaking this program, I ran the regular English track for a rigorous college preparatory yeshiva in Riverdale, where I was faculty advisor for the literary magazine, launched the yeshiva's first ever SAT prep class and Speech and Drama Club, and ran biology and physics tutorials. I'm a cum laude graduate of Washington University in St. Louis' English program, a widely published cultural critic, essayist and profile writer for New York and national newspapers, magazines and blogs, and a produced playwright who worked for many years as a taxonomist and analyst in the charitable sector. I was a National Merit Finalist. I bring not only expertise to the study of ELA, grammar, literature, reading comprehension, vocabulary and linguistics, but also a passionate commitment to the rigorous craft involved in writing and the process of unlocking a student's creative essence. I will not only help you improve--I'll help you discover the joy in uncovering the mysteries of this remarkably vibrant and versatile language.
