My name is Dustin and I am a test prep and academic subject tutor with 3 years of experience. I started tutoring while completing my undergraduate degree at NYU, working as a volunteer English Teaching Assistant at a middle school in Italy during a semester abroad. After returning to the U.S. I began working with the Go Project - a New York based nonprofit that provides low-income students with additional instruction time in math, reading and writing. I also began tutoring professionally as an SAT/ACT test prep tutor, helping students master all sections of the college entrance exams. Along the way I’ve worked with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds, from academically gifted students to those with significant learning disabilities. By taking a personalized approach to each and crafting lesson plans that appeal to their interests I have managed to help all boost their scores on standardized tests and in their classes.
