I have spent more than seven years working in education, mentorship, and behavioral science, always aiming to meet students where they are. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology and an Advanced Certificate in Crime Scene Investigation from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. This background shapes my work by blending careful analysis with a strong understanding of how people learn and grow. Throughout my career, I have focused on public service and community equity, helping students from all backgrounds in New York City reach their potential.

I have taught students from early childhood through college, which has helped me learn different teaching methods for each age group. At The Reading Team in Harlem, I spent almost five years creating and teaching personalized, culturally relevant lessons to elementary students facing academic and behavioral challenges. As a teaching artist with the Bronx Arts Ensemble, I wrote visual arts lessons for K-8 students in underserved areas, helping them build confidence and express themselves. In college settings, I worked as a peer advisor and mentor at John Jay College and Hostos Community College, helping students with degree planning, understanding policies, and improving their GPAs. Now, as a program manager, I support high school and college students as they prepare for careers and further education.

Whether I am working one-on-one with students or leading a busy classroom, I focus on patience, clear structure, and understanding each student’s starting point. I do not use the same lesson plan for everyone. Instead, I use what I learn about each student to create a plan that fits their pace and needs. By combining high academic standards with a caring, trauma-informed approach, I help students handle frustration, become more organized, and move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling confident in their learning.
