I will earn my Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2019. I also taught Biology and Human Biology to undergraduates at San Francisco State University for over two years. I currently am also a tutor for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), where a deep understanding of biological processes is paramount to success. I often work with students to build schedules tailored to their specific needs, and work through problem sets to gauge their strengths and weaknesses. I'm also happy to prepare lessons on any subject that you might find particularly challenging. Whether you're in college, graduate school or even high school, it always brings me great joy to see my students succeed, and I'm excited to participate in your success in Biology!

Why Work With Me: I love seeing my students succeed on their MCAT! My students who have adopted discussed approaches have averaged a 515, and over half have obtained 1+ perfect subsection score! I have time-proven methods to help you do the same IF you’re willing to put in the work. :) Qualifications: I have been ranked as a 99.77th percentile instructor (Top 40) out of 17,575 active tutors on Wyzant. My subjects of specialty are P/S and B/B (psychology/sociology and biology/biochemistry), where I exceeded 90th percentile on each practice exam, including my real MCAT. I am also very happy to help with C/P and CARS. I spent nearly three years as a Research Associate at Yale School of Medicine where I had multiple publications accepted in well-known journals. Published works topics include innate immunity regulation, antiviral response in epithelium, mental health in specific disease populations. Finally, I spent 4 semesters as Teaching Assistant for Human Biology. How Tutoring With Me Works: My approach is completely individualized to the student. If you’re just beginning your prep, that’s excellent! If you’re part way in or re-taking your MCAT, I will take a history of your approach which will inform us how to proceed. If you’d like, I’m happy to devise a systematic game plan across your study period. Subsequent meetings are tailored to this history and what we identify as your points of growth. Whatever your needs are, with over 2000 hours of experience, I’m excited to help you grow in your content mastery, passage analysis, testing strategy and beyond!

Review for Arielle M

If you are looking for a tutor that is willing to put in the time and truly cares about her students, then you have to choose Arielle. She tutored me for my MCAT test to get into medical school and helped tremendously. In total she raised my score 10 points from when we started which is no easy task. She was willingly to put in the extra time and her response time was very fast whenever I had a question. She made me look forward to studying and our tutoring sessions! Her set up is very time effective and the knowledge you can gain from just an hour getting tutored by her is worth it. Arielle also helped me put together a schedule so that I didn't slack off or get worn out before my exam. Without a doubt the best decision I ever made was picking her as my tutor!

Very knowledgeable

Arielle was great in the first session! She gave me a game plan moving forward on how to retain information for the mcat. She also organized a plan for me on what I need to do daily to be successful. Overall she broke down my huge to-do list in bite size pieces which has helped with my stress as well. I recommend 100%, very knowledgeable and efficient tutor.

friendly and knowledgable

I was completely lost in the college transfer process and Arielle helped me get everything together in under a month. She was wonderful to prep for my interviews with and a great aid in crafting my personal statement. I recommend Arielle for anyone wanting detail-oriented, friendly assistance!

Review for Arielle

I wanted to leave another review for Arielle after finishing the MCAT. I cannot say enough good things about working with Arielle! This has been a long process for me, and after taking a course that was largely unhelpful I came to Arielle for her guidance. She helped me plan by helping make a structured study regimen and schedule. She thoroughly knows the MCAT material inside and out, and has all of the necessary resources to help you succeed! From the beginning P/S was easier for me than other sections, but she took my P/S score all the way to the 100th percentile! She also helped me in my weakest section: C/P, and take it to a 90+ percentile score! If you're looking for quality -- look no further!

Patient, smart, and beyond helpful.

I love tutoring with her, in one week my score went up by 9 points! She's very patient and can tell when you begin to get overwhelmed and is very good at taking a step back and slowing down when you need to. Best tutor I've had and she's helped more than imaginable.

Best tutor I’ve ever had

Arielle knows her stuff. She is always prepared for lessons, and makes every second count during them. She always has the best diagrams to pull up when I’m confused, and is always considering how to present information in the best way for me. She is motivating and encouraging, and really helped boost my confidence before taking the MCAT. I can not recommend her highly enough!

Super Helpful and Cares About Students

Arielle is the best teacher I have had in a long time. She is very patient and encouraging. She knows exactly how to find your weak points and turn them into strengths. She is very knowledgeable in every topic and spends a lot of time explaining to it so you truly understand it. Thank you so much for everything you do!
