I graduated from Brown University (Phi Beta Kappa) and am a Nightingale-Bamford alum. At Brown, I served as a course assistant and graded student writing and policy response papers, and I also taught kindergarten students for 3 years through Brown's Elementary Afterschool Mentors (BEAM), designing weekly lesson plans and supporting early literacy and classroom confidence.
My approach is warm, structured, and highly practical. I focus on helping students become more independent learners by building strong planning habits, clear writing processes, and confidence in their academic voice.
Middle school (grades 5–8): Organization and study skills (homework planning, deadlines, routines, and follow-through); Writing support (structure, clarity, grammar, and confidence); History and humanities support; Accountability and consistency
High school (grades 9–12): Writing and English support (argument development, research and analysis, essay structure, and overall editing); History and humanities coursework; Public speaking and presentations; College essays (brainstorming, outlining, revision, and final polish)
I enjoy working with motivated students who may not need remediation, but do benefit from structure, coaching, and a trusted academic mentor.
In-person sessions are available in NYC, or via Zoom.
