I'm a current medical student at SUNY Downstate School of Medicine, a graduate of Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health (MS, Epidemiology), and a graduate of Case Western Reserve University (BS, Biology). I received multiple awards and scholarships for academic performance in college and graduate school, including Dean's List and a National Merit Scholarship.

My qualifications include 8 years of experience tutoring students individually and in groups, ranging from high school to graduate level, including non-traditional students. I first began tutoring in college and I have also worked as a teaching assistant for both undergraduate and graduate-level courses. I tutor students in epidemiology, English, art, and test prep (GED, SAT, ACT, GRE, and MCAT). For the MCAT, I specialize in the CARS section, with a 98th percentile score on my own exam.

I recently started with Sophia and she is a great teacher for drawing and Fine Arts. She has a passion for the subject which she shares with me. She asks questions and prepares thoughtful assignments, then we go over those so I can get feedback. Each lesson is tailored to our current progress and she takes notes on what we do each week so that we can continue to progress. Also, she always answers any questions I have. Sophia is very encouraging, has a very strong technical knowledge and a good communication style. I would recommend Sophia as a drawing or arts teacher for adults or kids.
