As a teaching assistant and tutor I loved working with all different students. I have taught Algebra to first time learners as well as repeater students and I have had students in general education and special education classes. Because all of my students have been so different I am very used to coming up with new ways to teach material. I try to make sure that my lessons will focus on what each student specifically needs. I am also a very patient and determined teacher who will not give up when material gets difficult.
I specialize in teaching math, especially Algebra I because that is what I taught in the classroom, however, I have tutored across every high school subject area. I am also familiar with geometry and elementary math, as well as SAT mathematics. I am very familiar with the types of questions that appear on state tests, regents exams, and the SAT.
