My name is Kelli. I am a creative ESL Instructor and book editor from California, recently based in NYC!

I offer personalized English language tutoring for international professionals and adult students. My most recent private students are graduate students and international corporate employees in Manhattan. My sessions also extend to families, high school programs and language goals outside of the corporate workforce. I've been teaching ESL for 3 years and I love all of my students!

I teach all aspects of English (ESL) proficiency, including culture, conversation, writing, & presentational speaking. I have worked as an ESL textbook editor and helped clients to improve their professional and personal writing. My sessions are tailored to the specific long-term and short-term goals and individual needs of each student and can be in-person or online.

I have a Master's of Education in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) (thesis-pending) and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of California, Davis.

I offer free consultations for every new client and I am able to offer discounted rates for students in need.

Before she moved to New York, Kelli worked as a writing tutor in the ESL Department of the Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California. She also wrote a textbook for ESL Publishing, LLC as their ESL Editor in 2016.

Great tutor with individual approach to every student

Two lessons with Kelli helped me to understand my weaknesses when it comes to essay writing. I explained my goals, gave a little info of my background, provided a sample of my essay and she made a specific study program for me. I like to follow that program and see an improvement. We will also work to improve a grammar and build my vocabulary. Looking forward to continue lessons.
