I bring a unique blend of academic excellence and diverse educational experience to my tutoring. As a Doctor of Medicine with graduate coursework and clinical training, I combine deep scientific knowledge with proven teaching skills. Having studied within both the British system in Ghana and the American system, I offer students an innovative and adaptable approach to learning that bridges multiple perspectives and makes complex subjects accessible. My journey from humble beginnings through GED, college, postbaccalaureate studies, and graduate training in Medical Sciences has shaped me into a resilient and goal‑oriented educator. This background fuels my passion for empowering students to achieve academic independence and excellence. My life’s purpose is rooted in service, to provide affordable healthcare and education to communities in need, and I bring that same commitment to every tutoring session.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, which qualifies me to teach all levels of Biology, including molecular and cell biology. In addition, I tutor high school and college‑level General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. As a graduate in Molecular Medicine, I am well‑equipped to guide learners through Anatomy, Physiology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Pathophysiology, Behavioral Sciences, and Psychology. My approach is not only to help students succeed academically but also to nurture their ability to think critically and independently. Together, we will bridge gaps in learning, unlock potential, and build the confidence needed to thrive both as students and as thinkers.

Outstanding knowledgeable Tutor

Cherub is our number one tutor, the kind of tutor that every student needs and wishes they had. She tutored me in a complex and difficult course in neurophysiology and presented the material so that it clear, simple ans easy to understand. She broke everything down into digestible pieces and explained how each concept related to and worked with the others, what happened, when and why. Cherub showed me the structure and functions of the three parts of the nervous system; together we compared and contrasted the way the PNS and SNS work, looking where specific nerve fibers originate and the organs they innervate; we studied the anatomy of each system and the neurotransmitters, receptors and effects of stimulation for each one. We covered how the CNS and the PNS communicate with each other, including pre-ganglionic and post-ganglionic neurons in the SNS and PNS, their differences, the hormones produced and the cell receptors they act on in target tissues.. We also studied the transmission of nerve impulses by NT, the properties of neuronal action-potentials and neuronal communication, the major motor and sensory pathways, how neuronal pathways are altered and much more. Despite the breadth of material that was covered, the most impressive thing to me was the way the information was delivered so clearly, so that it was easy to follow and to remember. I especially appreciated the way Cherub distilled critical information, key concepts and hot topics, and the way she used diagrams, systematically explaining relationships between things. She was so effective in her teaching that the time flew by and I found myself wanting more. Her teaching excited me: I felt happy and energized even though I was calm and relaxed; it was a magical experience for me — I certainly have never experienced anything like this before studying pathophysiology. My excitement, energy and motivation rose in concert with Cherub’s energy and enthusiasm; her enthusiasm for the subject is infectious. She takes you on a special journey and guides you every step of the way. She constantly asks for feedback to make sure you are keeping up. We navigated through the subject together and I learned a great deal about pathophysiology. Cherub’s tutoring work on my behalf is worthy of a trophy. She is outstanding. This is a difficult course and many students have a lot of trouble learning the material, but if every tutor is as effective as Cherub has been with me, I believe that every student will be successful in this course. I passed Advanced Pathophysiology and now we are tackling Advanced Pharmacology.

Pathophysiology

WOW SHE'S AMAZING!! As someone struggling in nursing school, struggling more specifically in pathophysiology. Cherub has taught me so much in such a short amount of time. She comes to ever tutoring session with prepared several different tip and trick that have helped me. She provided numerous of practice questions that related exactly to what I was learning about. She kept information simple and sweet. I wish my professor at school taught as well as Cherub. You have been amazing and I hope other students get the help they need from you!! Also she has such flexible time and wants to see you succeed!! HIGH RECOMMEND !

Humble and patient tutor

What I truly appreciated about cherubs teaching approach was her continued use of illustrations. Chemistry can be very challenging and foreign to some including myself, but illustrations and analogies really simplified concepts. Coupled with patience and humility were bonus factors.

Sweet and very personable

I would say that she’s a very sweet and personable person, she makes students feel comfortable enough to ask questions and adjusts well to their pace of learning, she makes complicated concepts easier by relating them back to real-life examples and gives students a true understanding of the material
