General Music

I have a diploma from Athens (Greece) Music Conservatory where I studied for 4 years. I have a degree in Musicology from Stockholm`s University. I have been a working, performing/recording musician for the last 30 years. I have been teaching guitar & Music theory for 30 years. I have released three cds under my name. My 1996 Greek release was voted Rock Album of the year in Greece. I have been playing regularly at BBKING`s NYC since 2006.

Greek

I am a native Greek-Athenian. I graduated from High School and College in Athens (Greece). I have been teaching Greek in NYC since 2005, both in private and in schools, and I have had many satisfied students and plenty of recommendations. I focus on Modern Greek Language and you can start speaking Greek from the first lesson. I use the same books and method, as the ones used at the Athens Centre for Greek studies. (Voted the best school for learning modern Greek in Athens-Greece).

Guitar

I have been studying and playing the Guitar since I was 16 years old. I studied classical guitar in the Athens Conservatory for three years, while I was also figuring out the secrets of Blues & Rock guitar virtuosos by transcribing their licks, via intensive listening to their records, which also improved my ear training. Later on I studied Jazz guitar privately for three years in Athens following the Berklee method which I still use with my own students. I have been teaching and playing professionally since the mid 80`s first at the ABF music school in Stockholm (Sweden) and later in different music schools in Athens (Greece) and privately. Since 2004 I have been teaching in my own studio at midtown Manhattan. Many of my students have been accepted in Music Colleges such as Berklee and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. I have been a recording-performing artist since the early 90`s with three CDs under my own name. I customize my lessons to fit each student`s individual level and needs and I accept all levels of proficiency in Blues-Rock & Jazz. I have been playing regularly at a local venue since 2006 where many of my students come to get a live experience. I have been inviting the really good ones to share the stage with me and my band.

Music Theory

I have received a diploma in Music Theory from The Athens Conservatory (Greece) and I also did further studies in Jazz harmony and world music in Stockholm's University (Sweden). I apply music theory every day to my guitar students, many of whom I have prepared for Music Colleges.

Voice (Music)

I have a diploma from The Athens (Greece) Music Conservatory where I studied Music Theory & Harmony for 4 years, with emphasis in piano playing, singing and how to conduct a choir. I have released three personal CDs where I am the lead singer and I play the guitar and the keyboard.
