Prior to becoming a medical student and TA I worked as a biologist specializing in virology at the National Institutes of Health. Through these experiences I have been able to study a wide range of biology subjects and I have become experienced in teaching a wide range of students.

I graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University. Since graduation I have been researching evolutionary mechanisms of viruses, using a extensive knowledge of genetics to help inform my research. I have also published three times in international journals on topics that deal with genetics mechanisms and concepts.
