Hello,

My name is Ivan and I am a teacher and tutor of the Russian language with experience that includes beginner to advanced levels of instruction, private and group classes, and individualized curriculum development. I am currently teaching Russian levels 1 through 5 at a private language school in New York, NY. I am a native Russian speaker with a Master’s degree in Russian Philology and Education and more than 7 years of experience as a Russian language teacher and tutor. Additionally, I have completed post-graduate certification from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia to teach the Russian language as foreign/non-native (phonetics, reading, writing, and speaking).

As a language teacher, I strive to combine theory and practice for my students to understand and gradually acquire a living modern language. I have experience in creating individually tailored curricula for students with specific needs (business, legal, travel, dating, etc.) Generally, I am available on week nights and weekend afternoons/nights for instruction in person in New York City, NY and Jersey City, NJ, or on Skype.

Please note that I only work with adult students.
